Play Metal Max 2 Kai (J)(Independent) Online
You customize junker tanks to fight rogue appliances in a wasteland where every battle feels like a scrap-metal demolition derby. The menus are smoother now, but it's still gloriously chaotic—flamethrowers melt scorpion bots, and your dune buggy can somehow fit a shotgun.

Metal Max 2 Kai came out in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance, developed by Crea-Tech and published by Success. It was part of a wave of late-era GBA titles that offered deep, unconventional RPG experiences, standing out with its post-apocalyptic setting and vehicle-based combat. The game is an enhanced version of a Super Famicom title, bringing a gritty, open-world adventure to a handheld known for both polished ports and ambitious originals.
You control a wandering bounty hunter, exploring a vast wasteland on foot or in customizable tanks and other vehicles. Your main goal is to hunt monsters and mechanical beasts for cash, upgrading your gear and taking on increasingly dangerous targets. Signature mechanics include scavenging parts to modify your vehicles with weapons and armor, engaging in turn-based tank battles where positioning and equipment matter, and accepting freelance jobs that drive exploration. The pacing is deliberate, with a high degree of freedom and a difficulty that spikes sharply if you wander into the wrong territory. Playing it feels like tinkering in a garage before heading out to see what trouble you can survive.
