Play Metalgun Slinger Online
You awkwardly stop-shoot-slide through mutant-filled wastelands with an overpowered revolver, occasionally hopping on your buddy’s bike to blast enemies on the move. Boss fights are pure cowboy chaos.

Game Overview
Metalgun Slinger is one of those weird little GBA gems that never left Japan—which is a shame, because it’s basically a cowboy-themed Mega Man with a grungy sci-fi twist. You play as this blue-haired kid who stumbles onto a ridiculously overpowered revolver, and then it’s just you, a bunch of mutants, and some seriously unforgiving platforming.
The controls take a second to get used to—you can’t angle your shots while running, so you end up doing this awkward stop-and-fire dance. But once you figure out the slide attack (which feels way more satisfying than it should), you start blasting through enemies like a gunslinging acrobat. Oh, and sometimes your buddy shows up with a bike, so you get to ride shotgun and mow down bad guys while he handles the driving. Boss fights are pure chaos, especially the mohawked green mutant who just will not stop jumping at you.
It’s short, tough, and has that weird early 2000s anime aesthetic that makes everything look like a fever dream. If you’re into retro action-platformers, this one’s worth tracking down.
