Mick & Mack as the Global Gladiators is one of those weirdly charming Genesis platformers where you play as two kids recruited by Ronald McDonald (yes, really) to fight pollution monsters. It sounds bizarre, but it works—you jump between floating trash bags, dodge toxic sludge, and take down weirdo enemies like sentient oil slicks. The levels are split into four worlds, each with its own gross-but-colorful theme, like a smoggy city or a polluted ocean.
Controls are simple, but some of the platforming gets surprisingly tricky—those bouncing soda cans don’t mess around. The whole eco-message is heavy-handed, but in a way that feels oddly nostalgic now. If you’re into quirky ‘90s platformers with a side of corporate surrealism, this one’s worth a look.
