MicroProse Formula One Grand Prix on the Amiga was one of those games that made you feel like you were actually in the cockpit. The second disk (because, yeah, floppies) ramps things up with more tracks and cars—Monaco’s tight corners still give me sweaty palms just thinking about them.
The handling’s surprisingly deep for its time—you can’t just floor it and hope for the best. Brake too late, and you’re kissing the barriers. The AI drivers actually fight for position, too, which was rare back then. And that iconic engine whine? Pure nostalgia.
