Play Millipede Online
Centipede's chaotic sequel—now with more bugs, explosions, and panic as millipedes invade your garden. Mushrooms won't save you this time.

Millipede came out on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1988, developed by General Computer Corporation. It was part of that wave of arcade ports that tried to bring quarter-munching action home, sitting alongside games like Joust and Galaga on the shelf. You got exactly what it promised: more bugs, more explosions, and a faster kind of panic than its predecessor offered.
You control a small, mobile shooter at the bottom of the screen, fending off an onslaught of segmented millipedes, diving beetles, and other insects. The main objective is simply to survive, clearing each wave by destroying every segment of the invading millipede. Key mechanics include blasting through the ever-present mushroom field to create paths and shooting the glowing DDT bombs that temporarily poison parts of the playfield, turning segments into slower, destructible targets. The pacing is relentless; the millipedes get faster and the screen more crowded with every level you clear. It feels like a constant, twitchy battle against an inevitable swarm.
