Guybrush Threepwood is back, beard and all, and somehow he’s still terrible at being a pirate. Just when you thought he’d settle down with Elaine, things go sideways (again), and he’s off chasing another ridiculous treasure—Big Whoop, this time. Of course, LeChuck’s ghostly goons are up to no good, and before long, you’re knee-deep in voodoo, rubber chickens, and the kind of puzzles that make you laugh before they make you groan.

It’s classic point-and-click adventure stuff—click on everything, try every absurd verb combination, and pray you don’t get stuck on that one puzzle where the solution is, somehow, always a monkey. The islands feel bigger this time, with more places to wander, and the hand-painted backgrounds still hold up beautifully. Oh, and the music? It shifts seamlessly with the action, which sounds like a small thing until you realize how much it adds to the vibe.

There’s even an easier mode if you just want the story without the headache of figuring out how to use a fish as a key. But where’s the fun in that? You’ll miss the moment when you finally crack that one puzzle and feel like a genius for five seconds.
