Play Monster Gate Online
Pick a squad of weird little monsters, then dive into randomly generated dungeons where fire-breathing goblins and clumsy healers barely survive each turn. The pixel art’s got that perfect GBA chunkiness, and no two runs play out the same.

Monster Gate came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2000, developed by Konami. It was part of that early wave of GBA titles that explored how to bring deeper, more complex mechanics to a handheld, focusing on dungeon crawling and tactical monster collection without the flash of later releases.
You control a party of monsters, each with unique abilities, navigating grid-based dungeons one screen at a time. The goal is to reach the deepest floor, fighting enemies in turn-based combat and managing your team's health and skills. Key mechanics include recruiting monsters you defeat and dealing with permadeath if a party member falls. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly in later stages. It feels like a tense, unpredictable puzzle where every move matters.
