Moon Crystal came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, developed by a company called Hect. The game uses a screen by screen progression, where enemies respawn if you leave and return, and you can find hidden upgrades like a stronger sword or a bow for ranged attacks. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty is fairly high, with precise platforming and aggressive enemies. It feels like a solid, thoughtful action platformer that rewards careful exploration.
