Play Mutant League Hockey Online
Pick mutant teams, then smash through opponents with chainsaws and explosives—the ice is just as deadly as the players when the brawls start.

Mutant League Hockey came out in 1994 for the Sega Genesis, published by EA Sports. It was part of that wave of games that took familiar sports and twisted them into something wild, fitting right in with the console's library of arcade-style action. You didn't just play hockey; you played hockey with monsters on a rink that could kill you.
You control a team of mutants, robots, or skeletons, and the main goal is still to score more goals than the other team. But you spend just as much time trying to injure or outright kill the opposing players with weapons like explosive pucks and chainsaws. The ice itself is a hazard, cracking apart or opening into pits that swallow anyone who skates over them. The pacing is frantic, with fights breaking out constantly and the referee often needing to be bribed or attacked to avoid penalties. It feels chaotic and ridiculous in the best way, like a bar brawl that just happens to have a hockey game break out in the middle of it.
