Mystery of the Mummy throws you into 1912 Hamburg as a detective with a stubborn partner named Wilhelm and a week to crack a case involving—you guessed it—a cursed mummy. No pressure, right? The clock’s always ticking, and if you don’t piece together enough evidence by the time your boss checks in, good luck explaining why you spent half your budget on sausages instead of leads.
It’s one of those adventures where you’re mostly poking around crime scenes, badgering witnesses, and trying not to starve or run out of gas money. No abstract puzzles here—just a lot of legwork and figuring out which of the 186 locations might actually matter. (Spoiler: most don’t, but good luck knowing that upfront.)
There’s something weirdly satisfying about the mundane stuff, like remembering to sleep or arguing with Wilhelm over whether the lab results match your hunch. And yeah, there are a couple of action bits—driving feels like herding a drunk horse, and the evidence minigame is basically "click fast or regret it." But mostly, it’s just you, a notebook full of half-baked theories, and a mummy that’s probably laughing at you.
