Play Need for Speed Most Wanted (U)(Rising Sun) Online
Tiny cops chase your pixelated muscle car way too hard—dodge roadblocks, outrun Razor’s smug face, and try not to spin out when you slam the gas. Somehow this GBA port makes street racing feel legit.

I picked up Need for Speed Most Wanted on the Game Boy Advance back in 2005, a portable version of the bigger console game developed by EA Canada. It was one of those ambitious attempts to bring a racing experience with some depth to the handheld, squeezing open world chases and car customization into the small screen. For its time, it stood out among other GBA racers by offering more than just simple laps or time trials.
You control a street racer aiming to climb the Blacklist by beating rival drivers in intense one-on-one races and police pursuits. The main objective involves earning enough respect to challenge each ranked opponent, which you do by winning events, evading cops, and upgrading your car with new performance parts. Signature mechanics include navigating a free-roaming city to find races, engaging in high-speed pursuits where you must lose pursuing police units, and customizing your vehicle's handling and speed. The pacing is aggressive; cops swarm quickly, and races demand sharp turns and quick reflexes. It feels genuinely tense weaving through traffic with patrol cars closing in, and pulling off a clean escape brings a real rush.
