Play Neighbours Online
Action racing game with 8 tracks. Play as Scott Robinson on a skateboard, racing against characters in go-karts and lawnmowers. Avoid obstacles like kangaroos and dogs. Features 3 skateboards with different stats, 4-player AI races, and a popularity system for collecting litter. Released in 1991 for Amiga.
Neighbours came out on the Amiga in 1991 from Zeppelin Games. It was one of those games that felt right at home on the platform, a straightforward action racer that didn't try to overcomplicate things. You'd pop the disk in, hear the drive whir, and get ready for some chaotic laps around the neighborhood.
You control Scott Robinson on a skateboard, racing against other characters piloting go-karts and even lawnmowers across eight different tracks. The main goal is simple: win the race. You have to avoid obstacles like kangaroos and dogs that wander onto the course, and you can choose from three different skateboards, each with their own handling and speed. There's also a four-player mode against AI opponents and a quirky popularity system where you gain points by collecting litter. The races are fast and a bit unforgiving, with the other racers and environmental hazards constantly keeping you on your toes. It feels like a frantic, slightly silly dash through a suburban obstacle course.
