Neighbours from Hell came out for the Nintendo DS in 2004, published by JoWooD Productions. It was part of that early wave of DS titles that really tried to use both screens and the touch interface in clever ways, not just as a gimmick. The game stood out because it was a port of a PC title that actually felt at home on the handheld.

You play as Woody, a mischievous character trying to film a reality TV show by pranking his grumpy neighbor. The goal is to set up elaborate traps in each room without getting caught. You use the touchscreen to interact with objects, like putting glue in a shampoo bottle or hiding a whoopee cushion under a chair. Each level is a series of interconnected screens where timing and observation are key; you have to watch the neighbor's patrol route and set your traps during the brief moments he's out of sight. The pacing is deliberate, almost puzzle-like, as you figure out the correct sequence of actions to cause maximum chaos. It feels like conducting a symphony of slapstick from the shadows.
