Prince of Persia: Dungeons of Hell came out for the Super Nintendo in 1996, published by Konami. This game took the established Prince of Persia formula and dropped it into a more focused, dungeon-crawling adventure.
You control the Prince, navigating a deadly labyrinth room by room. Your main goal is to find the four pieces of the Amulet of Time to escape. The gameplay hinges on precise platforming, avoiding traps like spikes and crushing walls, and fighting off skeletons and other guards with your sword. The pacing is deliberate, the difficulty is stern, and success depends on learning each screen's specific timing and hazards. It feels tense and methodical, where every cleared room is a small, earned victory.
