Play Prince of Persia Online
Dodge spike traps, duel guards with careful timing, and race the clock—every jump and sword swing feels heavy and deliberate, so one slip means starting over.

I first played Prince of Persia on the Sega Genesis in 1993, a port of the original computer game published by Broderbund. It stood out on the console for its fluid rotoscoped animation and its serious, almost grim atmosphere compared to the more colorful platformers of the time.
You control the prince, a young man trying to escape a deadly dungeon and rescue the princess within a strict one hour time limit. The game is built on methodical, screen by screen exploration, navigating spike pits and chasms with precise jumps and dodges. Combat is a tense, one on one affair where you must parry and wait for an opening to strike enemies with your sword. The pacing is slow and deliberate, demanding patience, and the difficulty is punishing; a single mistake often sends you back to the very beginning. It feels like a constant, high stakes test of your memory and reflexes.
