Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones on GameCube is one of those games where you immediately feel like a total badass—until you miss a jump and plummet into a spike pit. You start off sprinting across rooftops, sliding under traps, and pulling off these smooth, almost dance-like sword combos. The combat’s got weight to it, but the real star is the parkour—wall-running, pole swings, and those heart-stopping moments where you barely grab a ledge.

What surprised me was how the game keeps switching things up. One minute you’re the Prince, flipping around with a dagger, the next you’re playing as his darker, brutal alter-ego smashing through enemies. The puzzles are just tricky enough to make you pause, but not so hard you’ll rage-quit. And yeah, the graphics still hold up—Babylon’s crumbling palaces and shadowy dungeons actually feel alive.

Fair warning: the camera can be a little fussy in tight spaces, but once you get the rhythm down, pulling off a flawless chain of kills and acrobatics is stupidly satisfying. If you liked the other Prince of Persia games, this one’s a no-brainer.
