Game Overview
Naruto Clash of Ninja 2 on GameCube is basically the best way to settle who’s the top ninja among your friends. You’ve got all the big names—Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi, even weirdly overpowered kid Rock Lee—and they all feel distinct, with their own jutsu and combos. The four-player battles get chaotic fast, especially when someone starts spamming Rasengan.
Story mode follows the anime pretty closely, so if you’ve seen the Chuunin Exams arc, you’ll recognize the fights. The controls are simple enough that even your little cousin can mash buttons and accidentally pull off something cool, but there’s actually some depth if you bother learning the timing for counters and specials. Just don’t expect it to be balanced—some characters are straight-up bullshit (looking at you, Gaara).
It’s one of those games where the yelling gets louder than the actual soundtrack. Perfect for a Friday night with too much pizza.
