Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes came out for the PlayStation Portable in 2007, developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Bandai Namco. It was one of the earlier Naruto games on the system, arriving when the PSP was still building its library of anime adaptations and fighting titles. The game offered a portable version of the console Ultimate Ninja experience, scaled down but still capturing the feel of the series.

You control a team of three ninjas from the Naruto universe, battling through a series of one on one fights across destructible 3D arenas. The main goal is to defeat your opponent using a mix of basic attacks, special jutsu, and powerful team combos that you unlock as you progress. Key mechanics include building chakra to unleash signature moves, and using substitution jutsu to evade attacks at the last moment. Matches are fast and demand timing more than complex inputs; the difficulty is fair but encourages learning each character’s strengths. It feels satisfying to pull off a well timed combo or turn the match with a surprise ultimate technique.
