Game Overview

Remember those old-school fighting games where you just mashed buttons and hoped for the best? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters on SNES is exactly that, but with extra pizza grease on the controller. You’ve got the usual crew—Leo, Raph, Donnie, Mikey—plus some surprise guests like Rat King and a weirdly futuristic Cyber-Shredder. Yeah, they gave him a glow-up for some reason.

It plays like a TMNT-skinned Street Fighter, complete with fireballs (because apparently ninjas throw those now). Story mode locks you into playing as one turtle to save April and Splinter, while tournament mode is just pure bragging rights—no plot, just punching. The controls are stiff in that classic '90s way, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about uppercutting a Foot Soldier into next week.

Not gonna lie, it’s janky, but if you grew up with the cartoon, you’ll probably grin through every pixelated roundhouse kick.
