Play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Tournament Fighters (Japan) Online
Raphael’s sai feel snappy, Armaggon’s dive attacks are pure cheese, and Wingnut’s somehow in this—it’s a weird, fast TMNT brawler that shouldn’t work but does.

Game Overview
Man, Tournament Fighters on the Genesis was such a weird, fun little fighter. It's got that classic TMNT vibe—bright colors, goofy sound effects, and all four turtles throwing down—but it plays way smoother than you'd expect from a 16-bit era game. The Genesis version actually feels different from the SNES one, with faster movement and these weird little super moves you charge up by mashing buttons.
First time I booted it up, I went straight for Raphael (because, come on, sai guy always wins) and got wrecked by Armaggon's cheap dive attacks. The roster's a mix of obvious picks like Shredder and weird deep cuts like Wingnut, which makes matches unpredictable. And that pixel art? Still holds up—Leo's idle stance alone has more personality than most modern fighters.
It's janky in that way only 90s fighting games can be, but that's half the charm. You'll either love it or throw your controller at the screen.
