Signature mechanics include the tense, screen-by-screen exploration of the mansion's many rooms and the deliberate, tank-style movement that makes every enemy encounter a calculated risk. You spend a lot of time managing a very limited inventory, deciding whether to carry more healing herbs or save space for key items and puzzle pieces. The pacing is slow and methodical, with a high difficulty that punishes careless play and encourages conservation of every bullet. It feels like a constant, nerve-wracking battle against your own resources as much as the monsters.
