Game Overview

CT Special Forces: Back to Hell is one of those GBA games that somehow flew under the radar, but if you're into run-and-gun chaos, it's an absolute blast. The second you start, you're thrown into this over-the-top military op—jungles, enemy bases, even underwater sections—with bullets flying everywhere. It's got that same frantic energy as Contra, but with chunky pixel-art explosions that just feel good.

What surprised me was how much variety there is. You're not just holding down the fire button—you're swapping between weapons, timing jumps over pits while dodging gunfire, and occasionally staring down a boss that takes up half the screen. The difficulty's no joke, either. It's the kind of game where you'll die a few times, memorize enemy patterns, and then feel like a total badass when you finally clear a level.

If you miss the days of arcade-style shooters where everything was loud, fast, and just a little unfair, this one's a perfect fit for your GBA library. Just don't blame me when you get stuck on the helicopter fight.
