This demo cuts straight to the chase—no Green Hill Zone, just those surreal, spinning tunnels where Sonic becomes a blue blur in a kaleidoscope. You’re hurtling forward at full speed, trying to grab rings and emeralds while the whole world twists around you. Miss a turn? Bam, you’re bouncing off walls like a pinball.
It’s way harder than it looks. The first time I tried it, I lasted about 10 seconds before faceplanting into a cluster of bombs. But there’s something weirdly addictive about the way the tunnel warps and bends, like a carnival ride gone rogue. And yeah, the colors are straight out of a ‘90s Trapper Keeper—neon grids, flashing checkpoints, the works.
If you’ve got a Genesis (or an emulator) and five minutes to spare, it’s a fun little time capsule. Just brace yourself for the disorientation.
