Nekketsu Kakutou Densetsu (J) is a chaotic NES brawler where Kunio and his crew beat the snot out of each other in four-player free-for-alls. The controls are stiff by today's standards, but there's something oddly satisfying about landing a well-timed punch and watching your friend's character go flying across the screen.
Matches devolve into pure madness fast—you'll be dodging chairs, getting suplexed out of nowhere, and scrambling to grab power-ups before someone else does. The sprites are chunky but full of personality, especially when someone gets knocked out and their eyes turn into spirals.
It's not deep, but Nekketsu Kakutou Densetsu (J) works best as a quick, dumb fun kind of game with friends who don't mind a little old-school jank.
