Nemesis II (Japan) is one of those Game Boy shooters that makes you forget you're playing on a tiny green screen. It's basically Gradius crammed into your pocket, but somehow even more intense—your little ship dodges waves of enemies while these floating "Options" orbit you like angry little bodyguards. The first time one of those saved me from a bullet I couldn't see coming, I nearly dropped my Game Boy.
What's wild is how much chaos they squeezed into this cartridge. The screen fills with enemies way faster than you'd expect, and the power-up system forces you to choose between speed, firepower, or praying you survive long enough to grab both. I still mess up that decision half the time. If you've got a soft spot for retro shooters that don't go easy on you, this one's worth digging up—just maybe keep a spare set of AA batteries handy.
