NFL Quarterback Club 99 was one of those N64 football games that actually made you feel like you were calling plays from the sidelines. The graphics were solid for the time—players had weight to them, and the animations weren’t too stiff. I remember being surprised by how much the weather actually mattered; throw a pass in heavy rain, and it’d wobble like a real underthrown ball.
The playbook was deeper than I expected, too. You could tweak routes and defensive setups way more than in other football games back then.
