Download Nick Faldo's Championship Golf_Disk1 ROM – Amiga Game
1992 Amiga golf sim with 2 Earth courses and 1 Martian course. Features power-timing swing mechanics, dynamic wind, terrain effects, and 8-player multiplayer. Includes stroke and match play modes.
So there’s this old-school golf sim for the Amiga called Reality3, and it’s got this weirdly satisfying (and occasionally frustrating) way of handling swings. You pick your shot power before you even start the motion, then have to time a click within this shrinking target zone—the harder you swing, the smaller the window. Mess it up, and your ball’s probably heading for the rough, which, by the way, is brutal to recover from. No gentle nudges here.
There are two normal courses, plus a secret one on Mars where gravity’s lower and your shots just float. You can play against up to seven friends or eight AI opponents with different skill levels—some are pushovers, others feel like they’ve got a personal grudge against you. The wind physics are oddly detailed for the time, too. Not gonna lie, the first few holes might have you muttering at the screen, but once you get the rhythm of those double-click wrist snaps? Weirdly addictive.
Just don’t blame me when you spend an hour trying to land a perfect shot in Martian low-grav.
