Download Nick Faldo's Championship Golf_Disk2 ROM โ Amiga Game
Game Overview
Nick Faldo's Championship Golf Disk2 came out on the Amiga in 1992 from Grandslam Video Ltd. It was one of the more detailed golf simulations available for the platform at the time, offering a solid alternative to other sports titles. The game included three courses, one of which was a fictional layout set on Mars, providing a mix of traditional and unusual challenges.
You control a golfer through various modes, including stroke and match play against up to eight AI opponents or three other human players. The core of the game is its swing mechanics, which require you to set power, time the backswing and downswing, and execute a precise wrist snap at impact. Shots are heavily influenced by environmental factors like wind strength and direction, as well as lie conditions such as heavy rough or bunkers. The game demands patience and consistency, with misjudged swings often leading to punishing scores. It feels satisfying to finally string together a series of clean shots and save par after a difficult hole.
