Nightmare On Elm Street, A [T-Port] is an NES horror beat 'em up where you and a friend fight through surreal dreamscapes to take down Freddy. The levels shift between reality and nightmare, one minute you're in a normal house, the next you're dodging giant claws in a twisted version of the same room.
It's janky, like most NES licensed games, but there's something unsettling about how Freddy just... appears. No fanfare, no dramatic intro. You turn a corner, and suddenly he's there, lunging at you with those knives. The co-op helps, though, having someone else there makes the cheap deaths a little less frustrating.
If you're into retro horror games, Nightmare On Elm Street, A [T-Port] is worth a look, but don't expect anything polished.
