No Greater Glory is one of those deep, all-consuming Civil War strategy games where you either play as Lincoln or Jefferson Davis and basically try not to screw up an entire nation. It’s not just moving armies around—you’re juggling politics, money, and public opinion while your generals keep asking for more troops. The map covers everything from Virginia down to Louisiana, and you’ll spend way too much time staring at it, second-guessing whether sending troops to St. Louis was a terrible idea.
What’s cool is how everything ties together—mess up the economy, and suddenly your armies are starving. Piss off the wrong politicians, and good luck getting reinforcements. It’s brutal in that classic Amiga way where you’ll lose three times before realizing you should’ve invested in railroads earlier. If you’re into historical sims that don’t hold your hand, this one’s a time sink in the best way.
