Pinball Dreams is one of those Amiga games that just nails the feel of real pinball without overcomplicating things. You get four totally different tables—my favorite’s the spy one with all the secret agent gadgets, but the underwater table has this weirdly satisfying bubbly sound effect every time you hit the bumpers.
No multi-ball here, which is kind of a bummer, but each table has its own little mini-games and scoring tricks to figure out. The Paris-Dakar one took me forever to get the hang of, but once you learn how the ramps work, it’s weirdly addictive. And yeah, there’s a high score table, because what’s pinball without bragging rights?
The music’s cheesy in that perfect early ‘90s way—you’ll either love it or mute it after five minutes. Either way, the flippers feel tight, and the tables actually play differently instead of just looking different. It’s simple, but it works.
