Play Obstickle Online
1992 Amiga puzzle game. Navigate maze levels with moving blocks, hazards, and switches. Push, pull, and dodge obstacles. Features ice floors, teleporters, and timed doors. Simple move and jump controls.
Obstickle came out for the Amiga in 1992, developed by The Light Circle. It was one of those thoughtful puzzle games that felt right at home on the platform, where clever mechanics often mattered more than flashy graphics. You don't see many games like it these days; it was very much a product of its time, focused on clean design and mental challenge.
You control a small character moving through a series of maze-like rooms, each filled with blocks, traps, and switches. Your goal is simply to reach the exit in each level, but getting there means pushing blocks into place, avoiding hazards like crushing walls or bottomless pits, and sometimes triggering switches to open timed doors. The game introduces elements like slippery ice floors that keep you sliding until you hit something, and teleporters that whisk you unpredictably across the screen. With only basic movement and a jump button, the controls are simple, but the puzzles demand careful planning and timing. It feels satisfying to finally solve a tricky room after a few failed attempts.
