Off Road Challenge came out for the Nintendo 64 in 1998, developed by Midway Games. Signature mechanics include managing your truck's damage during races, since hard impacts affect performance, and executing power slides around tight corners to maintain speed. The pacing is aggressive, with races often feeling chaotic due to environmental hazards and opponent AI that doesn't hold back. It feels raw and physical, like you're fighting the terrain as much as the other drivers.
