Game Overview
Ooze is one of those weird, gross Genesis games that sticks with you. You play as a blob of sentient slime—Dr. Caine, a scientist who got turned into this gooey mess—and you’re oozing through labs and sewers, absorbing enemies to grow bigger. The controls take a second to get used to (you stretch and fling parts of yourself around), but once it clicks, it’s oddly satisfying to splatter security guards and mutant creatures.
The whole vibe is like a B-movie—dark, kinda janky, but in a way that makes it memorable. Some of the later levels get frustrating when you’re trying to squeeze through tight spaces as a giant blob, but the gross-out animations and the sheer weirdness of it all kept me going. Definitely not for everyone, but if you like obscure, slightly broken 90s action games, this one’s a trip.
