I picked up Ozzy & Drix for the Game Boy Advance back in 2002, a time when licensed games were everywhere and you never quite knew what you were getting. This one was developed by Nelvana Limited, and it’s based on that cartoon where the characters live inside a human body. It’s a side-scrolling action platformer, the kind that felt familiar if you’d played a lot of GBA games in that era.
You control both Ozzy, the white blood cell, and Drix, the cold pill, switching between them to use their unique abilities. Ozzy handles the up-close brawling with his fists, while Drix can shoot projectiles and freeze enemies. The goal is to fight through the body’s various systems, clearing out infections and defeating bosses. You explore screen by screen, jumping across platforms in the lungs or navigating the bloodstream, collecting health pickups and using character-specific moves to solve simple puzzles. The pacing is fairly straightforward, though some enemy patterns require timing. It feels like a solid, no-frills adaptation that captures the show’s weird premise in a playable form.
