Pac-Panic takes the classic Pac-Man chase and flips it into something way more thoughtful. Instead of just running around eating dots, you're sliding blocks to trap ghosts—like if someone mashed up Pac-Man with one of those old block-pushing puzzle games. The first few levels ease you in, but before long, you're staring at the screen trying to figure out how to corner Blinky without getting stuck yourself.
It still feels like Pac-Man—the sounds, the ghosts, that little rush when you clear a board—but now there's this extra layer of planning. Sometimes you'll mess up and realize three moves too late that you boxed yourself in. Other times, you'll pull off some perfect block shuffle and feel like a genius. Weirdly satisfying for a Game Boy deep cut.
If you ever wished Pac-Man had just a bit more brainwork behind the munching, this one's worth digging up.
