Game Overview
Pacific Islands_Disk2 is the follow-up to Team Yankee, and if you played that one, you'll recognize the split-screen setup right away. But this time, everything looks sharper—the terrain, the tanks, even the explosions have more detail. It still nails that mix of hands-on tank controls and big-picture strategy, though.
The story’s new—no book adaptation here. Instead, you’re dealing with a Soviet takeover of some tiny but crucial islands in the Pacific. Five missions to kick them out, and let’s just say it’s not a leisurely beach vacation. The first time I tried it, I rolled my tank straight into an ambush because I wasn’t paying attention to the map. Lesson learned.
If you liked the original, this one’s a no-brainer. Just don’t expect the AI to go easy on you.
