Panic Restaurant is one of those weird, late-era NES platformers that somehow makes food terrifying. You play as Cookie (yes, the chef), fighting through his own restaurant after it gets taken over by sentient burgers, evil donuts, and a villain named Ohdove who’s clearly had one too many bad Yelp reviews. The levels are themed around kitchen chaos—imagine jumping over giant forks, dodging flying pepper shakers, and battling a pizza that really doesn’t want to be eaten. It’s short but surprisingly polished, with tight controls and some legitimately creative enemy designs. Just don’t play it hungry.
