Patrizier, Der_Disk2 is one of those classic Amiga games that feels like it teleported straight out of the '90s. You're basically a medieval merchant trying to build a trading empire—buy low, sell high, and don’t get sunk by pirates or bad deals. The interface is clunky by today’s standards, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about figuring out the supply and demand quirks of each port.
At first, I had no idea what I was doing—just buying random goods and hoping for the best. Then I realized the prices actually shift based on what you (and the AI traders) bring in, so you can game the system if you pay attention. The ship battles are janky but weirdly tense when you’re loaded with spices and some brigand shows up.
It’s definitely a product of its time, but if you’re into slow-burn economic sims with a side of pixelated danger, this one’s got charm.
