Play Payback (E)(Rising Sun) Online
Steal cars and dodge cops in this janky GBA take on GTA—missions are messy, physics are wild, and everything feels crammed into a tiny screen, but it’s got this weird charm.

Game Overview
Payback on the GBA is basically a pocket-sized Grand Theft Auto, which sounds cool until you realize how janky it is. You still get the open-world chaos—stealing cars, running from cops, causing general mayhem—but everything’s way clunkier than the real thing. The controls take some getting used to, and the tiny screen makes it hard to see what’s happening half the time.
That said, there’s something weirdly charming about it. The missions are short and messy, the physics are ridiculous (watch a car flip six times from hitting a curb), and the whole thing feels like someone tried to cram GTA into a shoebox. If you’re into retro oddities or just want to see how open-world crime worked on handhelds back then, it’s worth a look. Just don’t expect it to hold up next to the real deal.
