Play Pesterminator Online
You're a cereal mascot with a hammer smashing mutant bugs—then suddenly you're in a helicopter, underwater, or bouncing on the moon. NES jank at its most bizarrely lovable.

Pesterminator came out in 1990 for the NES, published by Color Dreams. It was one of those unlicensed games that felt a little off from the start, existing in that strange, budget tier of the console's library. You played as a cereal box mascot named Crunch, a little guy with a big hammer on a mission to save his kidnapped friends from a factory overrun by mutant insects.
You control Crunch through side-scrolling levels, moving screen by screen. Your main tool is a hammer for smashing enemies and breaking certain blocks. The objective is straightforward: rescue your fellow cereal characters from cages scattered through each stage. The game throws some wild shifts at you; one moment you're platforming through a factory, the next you're piloting a helicopter shoot 'em up section or swimming in an underwater area. The pacing is erratic and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly due to some awkward controls. It feels like a chaotic, unpredictable trip through someone's strange dream.
