Play PGA Tour Golf II Online
You’ll spend hours tweaking your shot shape with the new draw/fade meter, cursing when the wind ruins your perfect approach, and celebrating those crisp digitized driver sounds. Just hope your Genesis battery doesn’t die before you finish that career round.

PGA Tour Golf II came out on the Sega Genesis in 1992, a time when sports games were really starting to find their footing on home consoles. Electronic Arts published it, and it was one of the more serious golf simulations you could get for the system, building on what the first game established without reinventing the wheel.
You control a professional golfer, aiming to win tournaments by posting the lowest score over multiple rounds. The core of the game is the three-click swing meter; you press a button to start the power bar, again to set the power, and a final time to determine the accuracy of your shot. You have to constantly account for wind speed and direction, along with the lie of your ball on the fairway, rough, or sand. The pacing is deliberate, almost methodical, forcing you to think through every shot. It feels satisfying to execute a perfect plan, and equally crushing to watch a small mistake unravel an entire hole.
