Game Overview

Phalanx on the Amiga is one of those shooters that looks unassuming at first—until you realize how much it throws at you. The first level starts with your little ship cruising over a green planet, dodging enemy fire that comes from all angles. The controls are tight, which helps because the screen quickly fills with bullets and weird alien ships shaped like geometric nightmares.

What I love is how the game keeps switching things up. One minute you're in open space, the next you're diving into tight corridors where a single wrong move means scraping your ship against the walls. The music’s got that classic Amiga synth vibe—energetic but not overwhelming, just enough to keep you locked in.

It’s not the easiest shooter out there, but once you get the rhythm down, weaving through enemy patterns feels really satisfying. The pixel art holds up too, especially the bosses—some of them take up half the screen.
