Phantasie III: The Wrath of Nikademus wraps up the trilogy on the Amiga with a classic fantasy showdown. This time, Nikademus isn’t messing around—he’s going for world domination, and your ragtag party of adventurers is all that stands in his way.
If you’ve played the first two, you’ll recognize the turn-based combat and dungeon crawling, but there are some nice tweaks. Positioning matters more than ever—you can shuffle fighters to the front to soak up damage or keep your mage safely in the back. Spells now let you target specific enemy ranks, which is weirdly satisfying when you nail a perfect fireball on their backline healers. And injuries? They’re gruesomely specific. Nothing like seeing “severe chest wound” pop up after a bad fight to make you rethink your strategy.
It’s old-school tough, but there’s something addictive about slowly building up your party while Nikademus looms in the background. Just don’t get too attached to anyone—permadeath is very real here.
