Game Overview
Pilotwings 64 is one of those games that makes you feel like you're actually flying—even if you’re just flopping around in a hang glider at first. The controls take a minute to get used to, but once you do, soaring over those blocky N64 landscapes feels weirdly peaceful. You’ll crash a lot early on (that gyrocopter is trickier than it looks), but nailing a perfect landing after threading through a ring of fire is stupidly satisfying.
It’s not all about precision, though. Half the fun is just messing around—seeing how long you can skim the water before faceplanting or trying to land on ridiculous spots. The game doesn’t take itself too seriously, and neither should you. Just watch out for that birdman suit. Looks cool, handles like a brick.
