Pitfall - The Mayan Adventure (GBA) is basically Indiana Jones meets jungle gym—if the jungle gym had quicksand, angry jaguars, and collapsing ruins. You play as Harry Jr., swinging from vines like you own the place, dodging rolling boulders (they’re faster than you think), and occasionally faceplanting into spike traps because, well, the game doesn’t go easy on you.

The Mode7 graphics give everything this weirdly satisfying depth—like when you’re running toward the screen with a giant stone head chasing you, and it actually feels like it’s gaining on you. And yeah, it’s got that old-school Pitfall vibe, but with way more polish. The controls are tight, so when you miss a jump, it’s definitely your fault, not the game’s.
