Game Overview
Pocket Camera is that weird little Game Boy cart that turns your handheld into a chunky digital camera—if you can track down the camera accessory, anyway. The photos come out looking like ghostly black-and-white postage stamps, but there's something weirdly charming about framing shots on that tiny green screen.
You get these goofy stamps to slap on your photos (think pixelated mustaches and cat ears), plus a barebones drawing tool that's more fun than it should be. I spent way too long trying to turn a blurry photo of my dog into a surreal masterpiece with wobbly doodles. There's even a couple of mini-games tucked in there, because why not?
The whole thing feels like a time capsule from when digital cameras were still magic. It's janky, it's Japanese-only, and it makes zero sense—which is exactly why I love it.
