Police Quest III: The Kindred is one of those classic Sierra point-and-click adventures where you play as Sonny Bonds, now a detective dealing with a murder case that quickly spirals into something way bigger. The Amiga version looks and sounds great—those digitized police radio voices still give me chills.
You’ll spend most of your time carefully examining crime scenes, picking up clues, and trying not to mess up police procedure (because, yeah, you can totally fail if you skip steps). The interrogation scenes are weirdly tense—choosing the wrong dialogue option means the suspect clams up, and suddenly your case stalls. Also, driving around Lytton feels oddly realistic for a pixelated '90s game—you actually have to signal before turns or risk a ticket.
It’s got that classic Sierra charm where one wrong move can get you killed in the dumbest way possible, so save often. The story’s cheesy in the best way, full of dramatic twists and that unmistakable late-'80s cop drama vibe.
