Game Overview
Power Drive Disk2 came out for the Amiga in 1994, published by U.S. Gold. It was part of that wave of isometric racers that tried to do something a little different on home computers, focusing more on handling and strategy than pure speed.
You control an off-road vehicle through eight challenging courses, either against the clock, another player, or in specific event-based challenges. The driving relies heavily on sliding around corners, and you have to manage your damage by spending prize money on repairs between races. The objective is simply to win, but the loose handling and persistent wear on your car make every race a careful balance of aggression and control. It feels like a constant fight against the terrain as much as the clock.
