Game Overview

Premiere Disk3 came out for the Amiga in 1992, developed by Core Design and published by Corkers. It was one of those platformers that showed up during the Amiga's later years, trying to do something a little different with its movie studio theme. You don't see many games built around that idea, even now.

You control a character who must retrieve six stolen film reels, each hidden in a different movie set. The gameplay involves screen by screen exploration, jumping across platforms, and fighting off enemies with whatever weapons you find. Each level represents a film genre, so the setting and hazards change completely from one to the next. The difficulty is pretty relentless, with precise jumps and aggressive enemies making progress feel earned. It feels chaotic and inventive, like running through a hectic backlot where anything can happen.
